Description
|
Over
a 7 year period, managed, designed and developed projects to support
a major natural gas pipeline that handles 1 billion dollars of annual
operating income from transportation of natural gas. Due to de-regulation,
the corporation went from 95% of its business generated from sales
and 5% from transportation and storage, to 100% of business from
transportation and storage and 0% from sales. The systems and processes,
which supported this business transformation, required accuracy
and extreme flexibility to support constant changes imposed by the
governmental regulating agency. Failure to respond in a timely and
accurate manner would result in daily financial penalties. Often
times these changes had to be implemented within less than 30 days.
Development of these system employed three-tier architecture. The
systems created included the following components:
|
| |
- Customer
Relationship Management
- Contract
Management
- Pipeline
Management
- Volume
Allocation
- Transportation
and Exchange
